Lifeline has appointed its first ever chief information officers, with former Medibank Health Solutions CIO, Chris Hardy, taking on the top IT job at the suicide prevention non-government organisation. Lifeline CEO, Dr Maggie Jamieson, said that the appointment will enable greater expansion in the technology space. “Lifeline is embarking on an ambitious expansion of its ICT capabilities that requires the services of a business orientated, results driven CIO,” Jamieson said. The position of CIO was advertised in March, with the ad stating that the successful candidate would be responsible for revamping Lifeline’s customer contact centre. I look forward to delivering a stable, robust and reliable information technology environment to meet business priorities.” “Lifeline’s information technology environment is, as you would expect, extremely complex,” Jamieson said. “In the short time I have been with the organisation, I’ve realised there is a significant amount of work to do to enhance and expand Lifeline’s role as a major crisis intervention service.” Follow Lisa Banks on Twitter: @CapricaStar Follow CIO Australia on Twitter: @CIO_Australia Related content news CIO Announces the CIO 100 UK and shares Industry Recognition Awards in flagship evening celebrations By Romy Tuin Sep 28, 2023 4 mins CIO 100 IDG Events Events feature 12 ‘best practices’ IT should avoid at all costs From telling everyone they’re your customer to establishing SLAs, to stamping out ‘shadow IT,’ these ‘industry best practices’ are sure to sink your chances of IT success.
