Queensland’s Friendly Society Private Hospital will go with Epicor’s enterprise resource planning software, the vendor announced today.

The 120-bed hospital in Bundaberg chose the ERP solution after a six-month tender process, narrowing a list of five vendors down to two before going with Epicor.

Terri McCracken, the hospital’s finance manager, said Epicor’s system will let it automate many previously manual-based systems.

“It is going to be a big win for everybody. Epicor will automate the majority of our manual tasks and it will significantly improve our internal controls, giving us the rules and alerts to manage our workflow more effectively,” McCracken said in a statement.

Friendly Society Private Hospital will implement requisitions and purchase orders, general ledger management, CRM, analytics and asset management through the new system.
