The Australian Tax Office has come out with data summarising the tax income and tax payable of more than 1,500 companies. The data, which has been made available on data.gov.au, includes about 60 technology companies. Thirteen of those 60 companies had zero or less in tax payable during 2013-14. “As the legislation does not allow for the reporting of an amount of zero or less, these fields are left blank,” the ATO explained.
