Suncorp Life’s CIO, Fiona Floyd, has quit her post as the organisation embarks on an internal restructure.

Floyd’s departure was first reported on Tuesday morning by FST Media. Her exit follows the promotion of Suncorp Group’s CIO, Matt Pancino, to chief executive of business services last month.

Floyd had been in the role since March 2010. Prior to that, she was group IT manager, business applications, at Leighton Contractors. She also held roles at IAG, AMP Capital Investors, and Cuscal.

Suncorp Group is undergoing an IT systems simplification program, which is expected to deliver $225 million in benefits by 2015. The project involves rationalising 12 large legacy data warehouses down to one, and deploying a new banking platform.

Floyd could not be reached for comment. A spokesperson at Suncorp declined to comment on her departure.
