Large real estate firm, Raine Horne, has deployed more than 3000 Office 365 licenses in a bid to improve customer service across its national and international network of franchisees. Angus Raine, executive chairman at the property group, said in the past franchisees had to manage their own technology environment. “Now that Office 365 is deployed, we expect it will markedly improve communications and empower our agents in the field, enabling them to readily communicate with their offices and clients from anywhere at any time,” Raine said in a statement. He also believes the cloud technology will be an important recruitment tool for the firm. “To be able to market ourselves as a technology leader is an important step in recruitment and retention, especially with younger agents, who respond very positively to the latest technology,” he said. “In this sense, it was important to be able to ‘walk to walk’ when it came to our technology offering.” The firm will use Skype for Business to conduct meetings and staff training programs, leading to time and cost savings. “The rollout has also enabled us, for the first time, to have simple things like a company-wide directory, making it easy for anyone to contact anyone else within the company – whether they be in our offices in Dubai or Malaysia or those in Darwin or Hobart.” Follow CIO Australia on Twitter and Like us on Facebook… Twitter: @CIO_Australia, Facebook: CIO Australia, or take part in the CIO conversation on LinkedIn: CIO Australia Follow Byron Connolly on Twitter:@ByronConnolly Related content feature CIOs grapple with the ethics of implementing AI With ethical considerations around AI use increasingly top of mind, IT leaders are developing governance frameworks, establishing review boards, and coming to terms with the difficult discussions and decisions ahead.
