JB Hi-Fi has snared former Australia Post executive, Simon Page, as its new CIO. Page has spent the past two years as GM of technology, retail at Australia Post. Page has 15 years’ experience in several technology roles in Australia and overseas. He was also CTO, group technology at Tabcorp between July 2010 and July 2011, before moving into the role of GM, strategy and architecture at the organisation between July 2011 and July 2013. He began his career in IT consulting, working at Anderson Consulting and Accenture. He replaces former JB Hi-Fi technology director, George Papadopolous, who left the organisation in May. Page will report to JB Hi-Fi’s CEO, Richard Murray. Murray said in a statement to the ASX that Page and new marketing director, Kevin Ramsdale, are proven executives in their respective fields. “Simon has consistently delivered high quality technology solutions. Kevin and Simon join JB Hi-Fi at an exciting time and add further depth and quality to the management team,” Murray said.
