Anittel has completed testing and finalisation of service level agreements for a new Cisco communication system for the Tasmanian government. The new system is based on Cisco’s Hosted Collaboration Solution and will include locally hosted nodes of the company’s platform in Tasmania. The system includes cloud-based unified communications and collaboration applications. “By shifting to a cloud delivery model for communication and collaboration, the Tasmanian government will have the ability to improve employee productivity and optimise internal processes,” Sara Adams, managing director of the partner business group for Cisco Australia and New Zealand, said in a statement. As part of testing, Anittel installed more than 100 new communication endpoints at four sites, including a full site implementation at the Department of Justice’s Devonport police station. Anittel won the five-year contract worth up to $45 million in August last year to provide managed voice services to the Tasmanian government.
