Fremantle Ports, the WA government trading enterprise that manages the state’s largest container and cargo port, is seeking a chief information officer in a newly created role.The body is implementing a new five year business plan, with a vision to become ‘Australia’s best maritime gateway’, and has formed the role to lead an enterprise wide ICT strategy.Fremantle Ports is a Western Australian Government enterprise that manages the Port of Fremantle which includes a large property portfolio and port infrastructure that handles containerised cargoes, iron ore and cruise ships. Proven experience in leading major enterprise-wide transformation across medium or large scale complex ICT environments is required.Hudson has been retained as the exclusive recruitment partner for the position, applications close on November 18. The WA Government is currently seeking to lease the port, in a sale hoped to raise at least $2 billion, however that is dependent on the passage of enabling legislation which the Nationals, Greens and Labor oppose.
