Software developer TechnologyOne has established a centre of excellence for project management and appointed Andrew Vellnagel as its team director.

The ex-Minicom program director will oversee more than twenty staff at the centre where TechnologyOne plans to deliver “preconfigured solutions to target markets, including all levels of government, health and community services, education, financial services and utilities”.

TechnologyOne founder Adrian Di Marco said the centre will provide customers with greater mobility.

“The new project office will ensure TechnologyOne solutions are implemented in a consistent manner using a world class service delivery methodology, no matter where the customer is located or what industry they are in.”

“Specific scenarios have been identified according to how customers buy products – such as an existing customer signing up for a single product upgrade – and a service delivery model with accountability, governance and processes defined for each. This reduces commercial risk for both us and our customers,” Di Marco said.

Di Marco said hiring Vellnagel as part of the TechnologyOne team was “a key appointment”.
