Mick Campbell has quit his post as CIO of Ramsay Health Care. It is understood that Campbell left the company earlier this month. Campbell had been CIO at the health provider – which operates 150 hospitals and day surgery facilities across Australia, France, Indonesia, Malaysia and the UK – since 2006. During his tenure, Ramsay consolidated key systems across the group, resulting in annual savings of $5 million. Other achievements listed on his LinkedIn profile included implementing new billing processes, saving $1.5 million; improving IT relationships with hospitals; and executing a three-year IT strategy focusing on digitisation opportunities. Campbell was the CIO at law firm Blake Dawson between 2000 and 2006 and was also an IT projects manager at Westpac in the late 1990s. CIO was seeking comment from Campbell at time of publication.
