The tax and compensation package released by the Federal Government as part of its carbon pricing scheme has implications for every Australian business, but ploughing through the minutiae to find out how will affect operations is something of chore. The NSW Business Chamber, however, has released a report that explains how the carbon tax as it currently stands will impact business. The chamber was included in the Government lock-up in Canberra and has analysed the ins and outs of the new pricing scheme. “Despite the misgivings we have about the Carbon Tax, we will seek to provide you with the best advice on how the tax will operate and what it will mean for your business,” NSW Business Chamber CEO, Stephen Cartwright, told members in an email.
