The Australian Computer Society’s Victorian branch has announced it will sponsor three senior ICT managers or potential CIOs to attend the CIO Executive Council’s Pathways program. Pathways is a 12 month professional leadership development program – designed and delivered by CIOs in Australia and overseas – that helps IT executives further develop their skills. The three successful applicants, selected from a pool of candidates, are Brendan Charles, Steve Dusting and Heather O’Connell. These applicants were chosen in recognition of their achievements and for their potential to make a difference in the application of ICT. As ACS-sponsored participants in the program, they will be provided with practical skills and exposed to a network of like professionals to help promote their careers. The CIO Executive Council is an independent subsidiary of IDG Communications, publisher of CIO magazine.
