Following this, Frost took on numerous roles including IT manager of BHP Engineering and then program director at BHP IT, where she would oversee a $20 million portfolio of projects. She also worked in project manager roles for CSC and the Health Insurance Commission before taking up the role of CIO at the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation (CSIRO).
