Alan Hesketh resigns from Ministry of Health

Alan Hesketh has resigned as deputy director general, information directorate, National Health Board business Unit at the Ministry of Health. He is moving to Brisbane, Australia, where he will take on another executive role.

Hesketh#8217;s resignation will take effect at the end of February.

Hesketh#8217;s past roles include being CIO of the Brisbane City Council, general manager telecommunications at Woolworths in Australia, and GM information technology at Progressive Enterprises.

Hesketh#8217;s move is just one of a series of recent CIO shifts in New Zealand.

Tony Wickstead, CIO of Auckland International Airport, has resigned. Cameron Brill is appointed Manager IT.

Dhaya Sivakumar is the new CIO of Two Degrees Mobile, after a four-year post as GM IT NZ and Pacific at Stella Travel Services. Karen Murphy takes over his role at the travel firm as IT Operations Manager.

Bruce Tinsley leaves PGG Wrightson and is now the CIO of Opus Consultants, replacing long-term CIO Neil Kane.
