CLOUD, COLLABORATION AND digital transformation are key drivers behind the project portfolio of the technology team at Trustpower.

The company traces its history back to 2015 when it built the first power station in Tauranga. Today, its operations span generating and supplying power and gas, as well as phone/Internet services.

Trustpower currently provides telecommunications services to more than 55,000 customers. It is also one of the country’s largest providers of Ultra Fast Broadband (UFB).

Trustpower has a significant roadmap of online projects to grow its customer base. The website, launched three years ago, is now a strong customer acquisition channel across brands. The technology team continues to refine the online experience in order to provide end-to-end services for the growing number of customers who prefer to engage with them through digital channels.

Technology investments around digital and customer experience technologies are all in support of its strategy to become a leading multi-utility retailer.

As part of Trustpower’s move to a new head office in central Tauranga, the business solutions and technology team rolled out a suite of new hardware and software to enable activity-based working (ABW).
