Following an illustrious stint spanning over five years at Kwality, Anand Ruhela has joined healthcare and education major, Manipal Global Group. Credit: CIO100 Anand Ruhela has been appointed as Head-IT at healthcare and education major, Manipal Global Group. In his previous role, Ruhela was the Head-IT at food and agro-processing giant, Kwality. Ruhela will be aligned to the Sikkim Manipal University in his new role. The Sikkim Manipal University is the first public-private partnership institution in the north-east region and currently offers 57 programs across 10 disciplines. Ruhela started his career in IT as a programmer and was in charge of electronic data processing at Noida-based Polar Industries. In a career spanning over 25 years, he established himself as a digital strategist driving digital transformation by leveraging emerging technologies. At Kwality, he spearheaded strategic IT transformation projects and operating models that enabled revenue growth, slashed costs and streamlined operations, thereby giving Kwality a competitive edge. Ruhela has extensive experience in setting up several IT divisions from scratch and optimising ICT infrastructure. His ability to simplify IT helped accelerate innovation at Kwality. In addition to acquiring expertise in end-to-end ERP planning and implementation, Ruhela comes with rich experience in resource and vendor management, risk management and designing IT security frameworks and IT compliance and budgeting. He is credited with setting risk management frameworks to enable business continuity and setting up disaster recovery sites for critical key gateways. In 2018, Ruhela was awarded the CIO100 Award.
