In July 2016, Rachel Barger returned to SAP as Regional Vice President for the Southeast, responsible for license sales and customer success for Large Enterprises within the region. She has over 16 years of experience in the software industry holding a variety of leadership roles with Enterprise Sales, Customer Success and Professional Services. She additionally brings a global understanding and approach gained through her time spent managing teams in Asia and Europe.

Rachel began her career within the Business Consulting practice at Arthur Andersen, where she identified her passion for helping organizations improve business outcomes through technology. Rachel then spent over 10 years at Ariba, and after acquisition at SAP, enabling her customers to improve their procurement processes through the use of Business Networks, where she gained valuable experience through one of the earliest transitions of a perpetual software business to a Software as a Services solution.

Experiencing the impact that digital transformation had on the procurement industry, Rachel became interested in the potential for social to similarly transform the way that businesses market to and support their customers. This led her to join Lithium Technologies to establish global Customer Success and Value Engineering teams to tasked with acquiring, retaining and expanding customers through programs focused on the value brought by Lithium and optimizing the ways that customers leverage Lithium solutions. Through her success quickly building these high performing teams she recently took on the added responsibility as General Manager for Lithium’s European, Middle East and African business unit.

Over the years, Rachel has excelled at helping customers understand the business value of technology investments, supporting customers through technology transformations, developing long-term strategic partnerships, driving execution of vision through executive sponsorship and building/scaling new teams and territories. Rachel currently lives in Atlanta GA, and holds an B.S in Chemical Engineering and an MBA from the Australian Graduate School of Management.
