iOS 10 has some great new features and changes in it. But one of the more controversial and potentially annoying ones involves requiring the user to press the Home button to unlock their iOS 10 device. Some iPhone and iPad users simply don't like having to press the Home button to unlock their devices. Open the Settings app.\n\n\n2. Tap on General.\n\n\n3. Tap on Accessibility.\n\n\n4. Tap on Home Button.\n\n\n5. Tap the Rest Finger to Open switch to the on position.\n\n\nNow you won\u2019t have to press your Home button to unlock your iPhone or iPad while running iOS 10. You can unlock your device with Touch ID the same way you did with iOS 9.\n\n\nShould you enable Rest Finger to Open in iOS 10?\n\nSome of you might be wondering if you should enable Rest Finger to Open or not. Like many other iOS options, it\u2019s very much an individual decision. Some folks hate having to press the Home button while others simply could not care less.\n\n\nBefore I wrote this article, I didn\u2019t have Rest Finger to Open on to unlock my iPhone 6s Plus.
