These IT executives were all recently appointed or promoted to new CIO jobs. As we turn the page on the first quarter of 2016, let us salute members of our industry who recently landed themselves new CIO jobs. Express Scripts, Qualcomm and Westinghouse are among the companies with brand new CIOs. Neal Sample joined Express Scripts as senior vice president and CIO. Sample previously served as president of enterprise growth at American Express. LinkedIn Mary Gendron, CIO, Qualcomm Mary Gendron is now senior vice president and CIO with Qualcomm. Gendron was previously senior vice president and CIO with Hospira. Westinghouse Electric named Jeff Kubacki vice president and CIO. Kubacki was formerly senior vice president and CIO for ATK. Cody Sanford was named CIO of T-Mobile. Sanford was the company’s senior vice president of technology. Jacobs Engineering Group announced the appointment of Barbie S. Bigelow as senior vice president and CIO. Cheryl Williams was promoted to CIO with Wakefern Food, from her previous role as the company’s vice president of digital commerce and innovation. LinkedIn Koby Avital, CIO, Priceline.com Koby Avital was named CIO and CTO of Priceline.com. Avital previously served as managing principal and advisor at Ivy Softworks. A. O. Smith named Peter R. Martineau senior vice president and CIO. Martineau was previously the company’s vice president of business transformation. Exide Technologies named Sean Burke its new CIO and chief digital officer. Prior to joining Exide, Burke was CTO of Michelin. The Finish Line appointed AJ Sutera as executive vice president, and chief information and technology officer. Sutera was previously Hudson’s Bay Company’s senior vice president and CTO of digital and customer systems. Indiana University Health named Mark Lantzy its new CIO. Lantzy previously served as CIO and COO for Gateway Health Ian Murdoch was promoted from regional CIO to ABB North America’s CIO role. Sue-Jean Lin recently joined Hill-Rom as CIO. Previously, Lin served as senior vice president and CIO of Allergan. Autoplus Gary Desai, CIO, Auto Plus Newly merged Auto Plus and Pep Boys named auto industry IT veteran Gary Desai CIO. Previously, Desai was senior vice president and CIO for Auto Plus. Mitchell Morris was named the first CIO of The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens. Morris was previously vice president for IT of the International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials (IAMPO). Littler named Durgesh Sharma as its CIO. Sharma was previously global CIO for Colliers International.
