New CIO appointments, spring 2016 edition

PepsiCo, Exelon, USAA and Kimberly-Clark all recently named new CIOs.

There has been no shortage of new appointments and promotions to CIO roles so far this spring. Congratulations to all the IT leaders with new jobs.

Jody Davids was named senior vice president and global CIO for PepsiCo. Davids was previously CIO for Agrium.

Mike Koehler joined Exelon as senior vice president, chief digital officer and CIO. Koehler was previously senior vice president of global services at EMC.

San Antonio financial services company USAA appointed Jennifer Sepull as CIO and senior vice president of IT.

Suja Chandrasekaran, former global CTO and chief data officer at Walmart Stores, joined Kimberly-Clark as CIO.

WellCare Health Plans announced that Darren Ghanayem was named CIO. Most recently, Ghanayem was vice president of business transformation at Anthem.

Phillip Newmoyer joined Toys”R”Us as senior vice president and CIO. Newmoyer most recently held the same role at Serta Simmons Bedding.

Krishna Nathan was named CIO at S&P Global (formerly McGraw Hill Financial). Nathan was previously vice president of systems for IBM Research.

Adobe named Cynthia Stoddard its new senior vice president and CIO. Stoddard was most recently CIO and senior vice president with NetApp.

Donald Young was appointed CIO of home security company ADT. Young was most recently CIO and COO for Protection1.

Angela Yochem joined Rent-A-Center as CIO. Yochem was most recently CIO for BDP International.

Mark Winger joined Spectrum Brands as CIO. Winger previously served as vice president of commercial and corporate services at CUNA Mutual.

HMSHost appointed Sarah Naqvi to the position of executive vice president and CIO. Naqvi was most recently the company’s vice president of application development.

Kemper appointed Charles Brooks as its first senior vice president and CIO. Brooks was previously global operations officer for insurer ACE.

Tom Roberts was appointed vice president of IT and CIO of Yanfeng Automotive Interiors. Previously, Roberts was vice president of IT at Johnson Controls Interiors.

Arby’s Restaurant Group named Darla Morse as its first ever CIO. Morse was most recently CIO at SeaWorld Entertainment.

Alpna J Doshi joined Philips Healthcare as global CIO of business transformation and IT worldwide. Doshi previously served as CIO at Reliance Group.

Kaleida Health appointed Cletis Earle to vice president and CIO. Earle previously served as vice president and CIO for St. Luke’s Cornwall Hospital.

Aqua America hired Whitney S. Kellett as its new CIO. Kellett was most recently vice president of IT at Atlas Energy Group.

Drew Saur was appointed the first CIO for The Palmer Family of Companies. Saur was previously CTO with DxID.

Larry Schacter is now CIO for Cammeby’s International. Schacter was previously vice president of IT for CompassRock Real Estate.

Graham Wilkinson is now the CIO of Exemplis. He was previously the CIO of Oakley.

Brent Bruggeman accepted the roles of vice president and CIO with Council on International Educational Exchange. Bruggeman was previously with Deloitte Consulting.
