The Linux Foundation (LF), a non-profit body for the promotion of Linux, is now offering the online training course “OpenStack Administration Fundamentals” (LFS252).
This new course is based on an existing course by the foundation called “Essentials of OpenStack Administration” (LFS520) and is targeted at those who are preparing for the Certified OpenStack Administrator exam from the OpenStack Foundation.
The new course is available for registration now at $499, a $200 discount off the standard $699 price. The Certified OpenStack Administrator exam, which will be available in Q2 2016, will be offered as a standalone exam, or bundled with the course.
Students will have one year to complete the online course, during which time they will have access to a ‘labs on demand’ environment, which will allow them to work on live OpenStack systems that are provisioned (and can be reset) on demand.
“Training is a key initiative for the OpenStack community, and a growing ecosystem of training providers is helping equip professionals with the skills they need to help enterprises and service providers succeed with OpenStack,” said Jonathan Bryce, executive director of The OpenStack Foundation.
The course is timed well as OpenStack is becoming a prominent technology and is seeing accelerated deployment, which will increase the demand for OpenStack talent.
