Martha Heller shares her January 2016 list of IT executives who were recently promoted or hired into new CIO positions. By now, we’re all fully immersed in 2016 and all the opportunities a new year brings! Here is a roundup of December 2015 and January 2016 CIO appointments. Delta Air Lines appointed Rahul Samant to senior vice president and CIO. Samant was previously chief digital officer at AIG. LinkedIn ML Krakauer, CIO of EMC ML Krakauer assumed the CIO role at EMC. Krakauer previously served as EMC’s executive vice president of business development for global enterprise services and head of global human resources. Raytheon promoted Kevin Neifert to CIO. Neifert most recently served as CIO of Raytheon’s Integrated Defense System. Dish Network Rob Dravenstott, CIO of Dish Network Dish Network promoted Rob Dravenstott to senior vice president and CIO. Dravenstott previously served as the company’s vice president of application development and testing. Farmers Insurance hired Ron Guerrier as its new CIO. Guerrier was formerly the CIO for Toyota Financial Services. Antoine Shagoury was appointed executive vice president and global CIO with State Street. Shagoury was previously group CIO and COO with the London Stock Exchange Group. LinkedIn Therace Risch, CIO of JCPenney Therace Risch joined JCPenney as executive vice president and CIO. Prior to joining the company, she was executive vice president and CIO with Country Financial. Bhushan Ivaturi is now vice president and CIO of AP Moller Maersk. Ivaturi previously held a variety of IT positions with GE. Eric Lindgren is the new CIO of Bright Horizons Family Solutions. Lindgren was most recently the CIO for Clean Harbors. Todd Mazza was named AECOM’s CIO of design and consulting services, Americas. Mazza was previously CTO for AECOM. Barnes & Noble appointed William Wood as CIO. Wood joins the company from EZCORP, where he also served as CIO. J.B. Hunt Transport Services hired Stuart Scott from Tempur-Sealy International as executive vice president and CIO. He was previously the Tempur-Sealy’s CIO. CACI International named Dan Doody its new executive vice president and CIO. Previously, Doody served as CIO at ManTech International. Schwan Food Company Kathy Persian, CIO of Schwan Food Company Schwan Food Company appointed Kathy Persian to senior vice president and CIO. Persian previously served as senior vice president of business transformation and CIO for Sports Authority. Stu Kippelman is now the senior vice president and CIO for Platform Specialty Products. He previously held the same role for Covanta Energy Group. CACI International named Dan Doody executive vice president and CIO. Previously, Doody served as CIO at ManTech International. Scripps Health hired Andy Crowder as CIO and corporate senior vice president. Crowder was previously CIO of MaineHealth. NewYork-Presbyterian appointed Daniel Barchi as its new CIO. Most recently Barchi was CIO for Yale Health Systems. Palo Alto Networks named Naveen Zutshi its new CIO. He previously served as senior vice president of technology with Gap. LinkedIn Norm Fjeldheim, CIO of Illumina Norm Fjeldheim is now senior vice president and CIO with Illumina. Previously, Fjeldheim held the same role with Qualcomm. Samuel Scozzafava, Jr. was named vice president for IT and CIO of Syracuse University. Scozzafava had been Syracuse’s interim CIO since June 2014. Raman Mehta is the new senior vice president and CIO at Fabrinet. Mehta was previously CIO and chief process architect with EWIE. Gerard Forster was appointed senior vice president and CIO at Aimbridge Hospitality. Forster was previously a founder and the vice president of IT at Evolution Hospitality.
