From IBM to HP to Deutsche Bank to AON, large companies are hiring new CIOs

While all of the moves this month are momentous for one reason or another, the most intriguing, to my mind, is Ralph Loura’s joining HP.  Loura, who has been CIO of Clorox for years, will work for Global CIO Ramon Baez, who joined HP from Kimberly-Clark, another very large global consumer packaged goods company. HP’s tapping into CPG CIOs, rather than high-tech CIOs is a strategic move for HP. I’m looking forward to seeing the impact that Loura, together with Baez, will have on the company.
