Two weeks from today Stephen Berberich joins the California Independent System Operator (ISO), the non-profit which operates California’s wholesale electrical grid, as vice president and CIO. He most recently worked for CapGemini as a vice president of business development. Prior to CapGemini, Berberich worked for Texas Utilities for six years in different management positions, including vice president of information technology. He has also worked for OHA Financial, Anderson Consulting and the First National Bank of Tulsa, OK. The National Association of State Chief Information Officers (NASCIO) elected new leadership for the 2005-2006 year. Matt Miszewski, CIO for the state of Wisconsin, was elected president of the Lexington, Ky.-based membership organization. Miszewski succeeds Tom Jarrett (pictured at left), Delaware’s CIO, in the presidential post. Michigan’s CIO Teri Takai was named vice president, and Nevada’s CIO, Terry Savage, was appointed treasurer and secretary.
