Government Technologyreported last week that New York State CIOJames Dillon (pictured at left) announced that he would retire from his post on December 9, 2005. (Is it me, or does this guy not look old enough to retire?) Dillon has served as CIO for the Empire State since January 2002. He was appointed by Governor George Pataki. Government Technology recently interviewed Dillon about his accomplishments and plans upon leaving state government. I interviewed Dillon for an article on how state CIOs were dealing with budget cuts in 2002.
