2005 Best Year Yet for the Web

A study says that the Internet enjoyed more growth so far in 2005 than it did during the dotcom boom. The BBC reports that the web grew by more than 17 million sites and surpasses the record of 16 million sites in 2000. According to the Internet monitoring firm Netcraft, the rise occurred because of small business growing online and firms making the most of web advertising schemes and spammers. Read more.
