Packaging products provider Greif is reorganizing its finance department, the company announced yesterday. As part of the reorganization, which will be complete by January 1, 2006, Greif’s Vice President and CIO, Ken Andre, will also serve as corporate controller. Andre is no stranger to the world of dollars and cents: he earned his bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Notre Dame (Go Fighting Irish!) and began his career as an auditor with Coopers and Lybrand (now PricewaterhouseCoopers.) He then joined Van Leer Containers as a staff accountant and later moved into IT. Andre appeared in a feature on global business in the April 1, 2001, issue of CIO. Retired Brigadier General Bernie Skoch was appointed to Sigaba’s federal advisory board. During his 20 year military career, Skoch served as director of communications operations at the United States Air Force’s headquarters in the Pentagon. Before that, Skoch was the principal director for customer advocacy at the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) where he established a team to implement the Department of Defense’s first ever customer advocacy organization.
