While some of these jobs are more readily available at smaller businesses, the pay doesn’t usually match that provided by larger companies. The typical median pay in this field for businesses with up to 100 employees is $40,900 while businesses with more than 1,000 employees will pay an average of $58,400 for that same position, according to PayScale. Overall, the market value and demand for social media skills is increasing on a continuing basis. These are the 10 most common jobs, ranked by their median respective salaries that require social media skills.Internet Marketing DirectorImage by ThinkstockLeading the pack with an income nearing six figures, Internet marketing directors enjoy a typical salary of $97,400. These positions don’t usually come into play until a company grows beyond 101 employees, according to PayScale. A quick search on LinkedIn for this specific job title returned four results at the time of publishing.Digital StrategistImage by ThinkstockNext on the list are digital strategists earning an average salary of $63,800. Companies with 81 employees and above are most likely to have a digital strategist on payroll. There are currently 95 open postings for a digital strategist on LinkedIn.Content Marketing ManagerImage by ThinkstockContent Marketing Managers are more common within companies that employ 86 people or more. People in this position earn an average salary of $63,300. A query on LinkedIn for this specific job title returned 85 results, with current openings at Google, Microsoft and many others.Marketing ManagerImage by ThinkstockMarketing managers command a typical media pay of $62,900. Companies with at least 100 employees are most likely to seek out potential candidates for this position. There are 3,528 open positions for marketers on LinkedIn with Microsoft, Google and Amazon combining for 108 jobs alone.Public Relations ManagerImage by ThinkstockPublic relations managers earn a typical salary of $61,100. Employees seeking this position are most likely to find these jobs at companies with a staff of 100 or more. Companies seek online community managers much earlier in their growth phase. These positions are more likely to be filled once a company reaches at least 41 employees. These positions are most likely to be filled at companies with 65 employees or more. Businesses are most likely to hire an online marketing specialist after reaching at least 99 total employees.
