Ruth Bruch (pictured at left) is leaving her post as SVP and CIO of Lucent Technologies. Today may be her last day with the Murray Hill, N.J.-based company. A PR person for Lucent told me she’s joining Kellogg, and that the move to the Battle Creek, Mich.-based cereal-maker brings Bruch closer to her Chicago roots. Lucent has not yet named a successor to Bruch, but in the interim, her team will report to Lucent COO Frank D’Amelio. Ron Griffin has made his comeback. The former Home Depot CIO was hired to lead global application development and support for HP’s Technology Solutions Group. This new role seems an appropriate fit for Griffin considering all the internal application development he oversaw while working for Home Depot (To learn more about IT at Home Depot, read my August 1, 2004 cover story on the home improvement retailer.) Griffin, 52, reports to HP EVP and CIO Randy Mott. For more on Griffin, check out the news release on HP’s web site. Lehman Brothers promoted its CTO Bridget O’Connor to the CIO role late last month. She reports to Jonathan Beyman, Lehman Brothers’ global head of operations and technology. O’Connor has been with the investment firm’s IT department since 1991. Over the past 15 years, she has served as global head of architecture and engineering, head of business continuity planning, and was responsible for the development of the LehmanLive web site. Prior to Lehman, she worked for AT&T for six years. SUBSCRIBE TO OUR NEWSLETTER From our editors straight to your inbox Get started by entering your email address below.
