Search behemoth, Google, has announced that it will update its Desktop search program, CNET News.com reports.

The upgrades will include more customization options for the Sidebar, the ability to search multiple computers and a search function that can be locked and unlocked with a password.  Users will also be able to send information directly to a friend or coworker’s desktop, CNET News.com reports.

The new features are for Google’s free search program that allows users to search their hard drives using keywords and are expected for release today.

Currently only available in English, Google Desktop will be available in 16 languages by April, CNET News.com reports.
