On Monday, IBM said it has developed improved computer chips that can speedily transmit data over wireless networks, Reuters reports.
The chips are faster than their predecessors because they use a portion of the radio spectrum that allows more data to be carried at a faster speed, Reuters reports.
The chips could be used to send high-definition video signal from a DVD player to a television.
Though several companies have expressed interest in using the chips in their products, IBM would not name names, Reuters reports.
