The White House’s Office of Management and Budget (OMB) has released its second version of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) Assessment Framework.

Richard Burke, director of the Federal Enterprise Architecture Program Management Office, said that agencies have until February 28 to submit their EA data under the guideline.

OMB announced last year that it would begin evaluations of how agencies use their EAs to improve operations and better meet their objectives.  The EA assessment will be used to evaluate each agency’s EA as part of the 2006 President’s Management Agenda Scorecard.

Version 1.5 of the EA Assessment Framework, released last year, centered on measuring agencies’ efficiency in completing baseline EAs.  Version 2.0 assesses how well agencies are using EAs and the results.
