The Information Technology Association of America named Sybase’s Robert Laurence interim president, succeeding Harris Miller, who might announce his candidacy for the U.S. Senate this week. According to Washington Technology, ITAA continues to search for a permanent replacement for Harris.
Laurence is vice president of public sector for enterprise software vendor and has been active in ITAA for more than a decade. He’s served as chairman, vice chairman and a member of the board of directors.
As mentioned in CIO News last week Miller resigned from the ITAA Wednesday and says he is considering a run against republican incumbent George Allen of Virginia in November.
