On Wednesday, Microsoft announced its hopes to have a patch that will fix the most recent flaw discovered in the Windows program ready by next week, Reuters reports. In a recent statement the Redmond, Wash.-based software behemoth noted it had “completed development of a security update to fix the vulnerability.” The flaw, discovered last week, could potentially leave users’ computers vulnerable to a virus. Users could come under attack is they visit certain websites or open harmful e-mail attachments.Microsoft has been monitoring attempts to exploit the Windows vulnerability.
