PeopleSoft customers can now integrate their existing applications with new applications using a new Oracle middleware product

Oracle announced today that its PeopleSoft applications can now run on its integrated suite of middleware products, making it easier for customers to integrate their PeopleSoft and Oracle applications. According to CNET.com, Oracle’s latest Fusion Middleware release will make it easier for customers to enhance their existing investments in PeopleSoft applications. The middleware will also allow customers to upgrade to new versions of Oracle’s applications.

By using its middleware products, customer service components from PeopleSoft applications can be combined with enterprise business processes using Oracle business process software. PeopleSoft applications can also be secured with Oracle’s identity management software for better security and single sign-on features. However, Peoplesoft and JD Edwards will continue to be certified to run on other middleware products like IBM Websphere and BEA WebLogic.
