Public CIO reported that Curt Wolfe plans to retire from his post as CIO of the state of North Dakota at the end of this month. Wolfe’s deputy, Mike Ressler, will step in as CIO until a replacement is found.

In North Carolina last week, Ramin Kouzehkanani was appointed the new director of the city of Durham’s Department of Technology Solutions, according to Public CIO.  Kouzehkanani most recently served as Sarasota, Florida’s CIO.  Previously, he worked for ESIONWEB.COM as director of systems and processes and for DSA Group as VP and director of information systems.

Shelton Waggener (pictured at left) was promoted to associate vice chancellor for information technology and CIO of UC Berkeley. Waggener, who most recently served as director of central computing services as the university, succeeds John (“Jack”) McCredie, who is retiring this month.
