American Public Education named the Washington Post’s former CIO, Ralph Terkowitz (pictured at left),to its board of directors.  Terkowitz currently serves as a general partner at private equity firm ABS Capital Partners where he focuses on investments in media and communications companies.  Prior to ABS, while at The Post, Terkowtiz founded WashingtonPost.com and served as its CEO. He also serves as a director of TRUSTe, an independent authority on trust and privacy practices, and sits on several other advisory boards.

Malcom Fields is in fact no longer working for furniture maker HNI (formerly Hon Industries) as its CIO.  I confirmed that fact late last week with a corporate PR type who wouldn’t give me any other information on his departure. Last month, a reader e-mailed me to find out if Malcolm Fields was still with the company.
