Correction on Cisco/Digital Fairway story

Mergers and Acquisitions

We incorrectly reported earlier today that Cisco had acquired Digital Fairway. Cisco did not buy Digital Fairway. It bought a select, Cisco-only, application and further licensed DFC’s Service Enabling Platform (SEP).

The purchased application component represents less than 10% of DFC’s current business results. DFC will continue to build out its application suite across numerous hardware VoIP vendors such as to introduce an “agnostic” solution to the industry. The key to the agnostic solution is the strength of the SEP Platform which DFC is retaining.

This information was supplied to CIO by Digital Fairway Chairman and CEO Joseph Warnement.
