Warner Music Group Cordless Recordings is looking to create new music stars and market them via the Internet. The Washington Post reports that the new recording label will release most of its music online in three-song clusters that can be found at online music stores like iTunes and Rhapsody. If the audience is deemed large enough and it is financially viable, Warner Music will release a full CD. According to Jack Holzman, a longtime proponent of independent music and signer of the Doors to Elektra Music, using the Internet is a faster, cheaper way of searching for and validating talent.
