Gateway Selects Nashville for New Plant

Gateway, a manufacturer of desktop and portable PCs, on Wednesday said it has selected Nashville, Tenn., as the location of its newest plant, at which staffers will build custom-ordered PCs, laptops and servers, as well as offer integration and software imaging services, Reuters reports via The Washington Post.

The new plant is expected to employ more than 300 individuals, and it will have an annual payroll of approximately $800 million, according to Reuters.
