Cisco Scoops Up Ex-Polaroid CEO Pocock

Cisco has hired J. Michael Pocock to be the senior vice president and general manager of its Linksys unit, which produces home networking equipment, The Wall Street Journal reports.

Pocock joins Cisco after serving as the president and chief executive of Polaroid since the spring of 2003, according to the Journal.

He succeeds Linksys founders Victor and Janie Tsao, and will report to Charles Giancarlo, the unit’s president, the Journal reports.

The Tsaos will concentrate on business opportunities for Cisco in China, according to the Journal.
