The U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has determined that Rambus unlawfully monopolized markets for four computer memory technologies, the FTC said Wednesday.

In its decision, the FTC did not decide how Rambus should pay for its unlawful conduct. It asked for more information from all parties involved in order to create an appropriate remedy. Comments can be filed on the issue until Sept. 15.

Rambus expects to appeal the decision.
