Chronos has released SOHO Organizer 5.5, offering a complete rewrite of the former Personal and Group Organizer products that it replaces.

The Cocoa-developed software is a free update for registered SOHO Organizer 5.x users.

A plethora of new features debut here, including contact and calendar management in a single application, SOHO Organizer. This offers new Day and Journal views, support for notes and a converter application to move data into Organizer from previous tools from Chronos.

A range of smaller improvements, such as enabling support for hierarchical groups, also appear in this release. The software synchronizes with Address Book and iCal, and Sync support means data can be synched with phones, iPods and .Mac.

A fully functional 30-day trial version is available for download from the company. It costs US$99.95.
