C2 Sues 7 U.S. Telecom Giants for Patent Infringement

C2 Communications, a patent licensing firm and subsidiary of C2 Global Technologies, on Thursday said it has filed suit against seven major U.S. telecommunications companies, charging them with infringing on a voice-over-IP service patent, Reuters reports via WashingtonPost.com.

The suit, filed in Texas, charges AT&T, Verizon Communications, BellSouth, Qwest Communications International, Sprint Nextel, Level 3 Communications and Global Crossing with infringing on a C2 patent, according to Reuters.

Global Crossing declined to comment to Reuters, and the other six firms were not immediately available.
