C2 Communications, a patent licensing firm and subsidiary of C2 Global Technologies, on Thursday said it has filed suit against seven major U.S. telecommunications companies, charging them with infringing on a voice-over-IP service patent, Reuters reports via WashingtonPost.com.The suit, filed in Texas, charges AT&T, Verizon Communications, BellSouth, Qwest Communications International, Sprint Nextel, Level 3 Communications and Global Crossing with infringing on a C2 patent, according to Reuters.Global Crossing declined to comment to Reuters, and the other six firms were not immediately available.Check out our CIO News Alerts and Tech Informer pages for more updated news coverage.
