Nova media has introduced software to extend iSync support to new handsets from Nokia and Sony Ericsson.

The nova media phone plug-in 3.3.1 software enables iSync compatibility for the Nokia E62 and Sony Ericsson K790i, W710i and W850i mobile phones.

The company’s software now lets owners of 47 devices that aren’t supported by iSync work with the Apple application. With the software, users of these phones can synchronize calendar and contact data with a Mac.

“Nobody should have to wait for the next Mac OS system update to use their latest mobile phone with iSync,” said nova media spokeswoman Jan Fuellemann. “We are happy to support many new mobile phones with our solutions as soon as they arrive in the market.”

The software costs 9.95 euros (roughly US$13) and is available online.
