European Union leaders reached an agreement on Friday to fight global warming, according to Reuters.
The agreement includes resolutions for:
cutting greenhouse gasses
developing renewable energy
- boosting energy efficiency
British Prime Minister Tony Blair called the targets groundbreaking, and European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso said that Europe can gain first-mover advantage, while businesses worry that going “green” will cost competitiveness.
