In January we asked 102 CIO.com visitors which financial model they planned to use in 2008—total cost of ownership (TCO) or return on investment (ROI). (See TCO vs. ROI: How Do You Decide?)

Results showed that 41 percent of you say TCO is the most important factor driving your IT investments this year while 59 percent say ROI is the most important factor driving your IT investments.
