Australia Federal Court will later release orders to implement the ruling Australia’s Federal Court ruled a systems integration company infringed on a copyright held by CA Technologies and breached a confidentiality agreement, according to a judgement released on Wednesday.Independent Systems Integrators (ISI) of Sydney infringed copyright by using CA’s Datacom code in its 2BDB2 suite of products, which are designed to aid organizations moving from CA Datacom databases to IBM’s DB2 relational database, which have incompatible formats, the court ruling said. The court also said ISI breached a confidentiality agreement by using information within the Administrator and Programmer Guides provided to CA Datacom customers to develop its 2BDB2 product. The ruling is dated Feb. 3, but was not published immediately to give the parties involved a chance to propose redactions due to the technical information contained in it. CA praised the ruling in a new release on Wednesday, adding that the Federal Court will later issue orders necessary to implement the ruling.
