Apple's newest TV ad might be revealing a glimpse of the rumored iWatch, best that's the only good thing about it, writes CIO.com's Tom Kaneshige. The latest iPhone television ad celebrates music, as opposed to the previous one that showcased the camera and video. The latest ad is an ode to the iPod that launched Apple’s resurgence at the turn of the millennium. But did you see a tip of the hat to the future of Apple devices, namely the rumored iWatch? At the 30-second mark, a faceless person is drumming with his hands on a tabletop, an inky tattoo on his left arm and something that looks like an iWatch prototype on his right.Despite the iWatch spotting, I didn’t like this ad as much as the ad about the joy of photos and video. That ad received rave reviews for its cleanliness and simple message. It showed people interacting intimately with their iPhone while exploring and sharing photos.“The iPhone ad reminds us that we have the opportunity to marvel in the world around us,” says Silicon Valley graphic designer Steve Yamaguma of Design2Market. The music ad, on the other hand, shows the dark side of technology—one that isolates us.
