Yahoo‘s long-time CTO Farzad Nazem is leaving the Internet company on June 8. Nazem has worked for Yahoo since 1996. Yahoo co-founder Jerry Yang will head up the technology group Nazem lead until a replacement is found.

Chemtura Corp., a $3.7 billion manufacturer of specialty chemicals, hired Douglas Debrecht as its VP and CIO. Debrecht begins his new job in June and joins the Middlebury, Conn.-based company after a 12-year tenure with Raytheon. Debrecht most recently served as VP and CIO of Raytheon International. He held that position since 2004. Chemtura was attracted to his experience with Six Sigma, IT transformation and implementation, and global business as well as his technical and planning skills. Debrecht has a bachelor’s degree in physics and a master’s degree in engineering.

Security technology company Passfaces Corp. appointed Mike Goff to its board of directors. Goff, a former CIO of T. Rowe Price Group, currently serves as an independent technology consultant in Baltimore, Md.
